Music Festivals and Events

We’ll use this section to let you know about live music events where we perform.   Support and attendance by folks like you who enjoy and appreciate traditional country music will help us to ensure that it lives on forever.

August 18-22, 2010; Country Music Jamboree, Avoca, Iowa.  This one is in a terrific setting at the fairgrounds; lots of shade and lots of campsites (although they have been known to fill up in the past).  This is one of our favorite events every year.  Cliff and Joye Carr manage it with respect, affection and appreciation for everyone who participates, whether they be entertainers or fans or volunteers or vendors or whatever.  It's truly a family event, with plenty of performances, contests, dances, and jam sessions.  A variety of fun for everyone!  

July 10-11, 2010; The Riverside Festival, Crete, Nebraska, hosted by the ever-popular Kramer Sisters.  It's only the second year for this festival, but it really started off with a bang in 2009!  Our guitar virtuoso friend, Charley Groth, will also be appearing, and he and Larry might have a surprise for some of the guitar pickers in the crowd.  Hmmm.  The public is invited and encouraged to come out and have a great time enjoying fine music by Charley, the Kramer Sisters, and of course, The Mellow D's, among others!

April 24, 2010; Gospel concert at the Berean Church in Grand Island, NE.  Open to the public, free will offering only!

April 18, 2010; 10:00AM; Special Appearance, Great Plains Community Church, Goehner, NE.

April 16, 2010; 2:30PM; The Kensington, Hastings, NE.

April 14, 2020; Live radio broadcast from 1370 KAWL-AM in York, Nebraska.  Live webcam at www.ktmxfm.com, then click on "KAWL Studio Cam".  We'll be performing some of our favorites, a cute novelty tune called "Bib Overalls", and we'll premier some brand-new originals that will be released on our next album!

April 4, 2010; We'll be singing several Gospel numbers to kick off the annual Easter services at the Great Plains Community Church in Goehner, Nebraska.  Come worship with us!

March 17, 2010; 2:00PM; Merrick Manor, Central City, NE.

March 6, 2010; 1:00-9:00PM; Town Hall, McCool Junction, NE.  Annual "Wires & Wood" Jam for country music musicians and entertainers.  This is a jam session to show our appreciation for those who strive to keep it country!  Not open to the general public.

February 28, 2010; 10:00AM; Special Appearance, Great Plains Community Church, Goehner, NE.

February 26, 2010; 2:30PM; The Kensington, Hastings, NE.

February 22, 2010; 9:00AM; Our first television appearance on the ABC Network's "Good Life" program on NTV.  We'll be interviewed, then we'll do a live performance!  Check your local listings for the channel number in your area.  This is a very interesting show for those who've not seen it.  It's a magazine-style format, covering a wide array of topics of interest to Nebraskans.

February 7, 2010; 10:00AM; Gospel Special, DeLand Nazarene Church, DeLand, FL.  I'll be introducing my new song, "Great Plains Community Church"!

September 19, 2009; 3:00PM and 7:00PM; Two shows at the Midwest Country Music Theater in Sandstone, Minnesota; Narvel Felts was the headliner for these shows.  These are the Same Midwest Country Shows that are broadcast nationally on RFD-TV!  They have one of the finest house bands I've seen.  (If you don't get RFD-TV, you really need to contact your TV provider and ask them to sign on.  RFD-TV provides so many of the great old country music programs we all love with the REAL superstars of country music; Porter, Lefty, Conway, Loretta, Patsy, etc.)

Friday, October 17, 2008, 2:30PM; "The Kensington" retirement community, Hastings, Nebraska.  We perform there frequently, because it is so much FUN!  Those folks have all but ADOPTED us, and we really enjoy THEM!

October 19, 2008; We are honored to be providing gospel music at the Great Plains Community church in Goehner, NE, in praise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Karen is preparing another Christian drama presentation for that same day, which will also be a day of celebration for the church.

Sunday, September 14, 2008, 4:00PM; Village Green, downtown McCool Junction, NE.  The "Nashville Songwriters Association International" chapter from Lincoln will be our featured guests as part of our community's annual "Mustang Roundup" celebration.  A 6:00 PM, we will host a local talent show upstairs at the town hall, a "just for fun" event.
